Mr. Gary E. Gross, age 72, of Wartrace, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Shelbyville.
He was born on September 5, 1952, in Wartrace, to the late John Gross Sr. and Shopie Gross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Gross Jr., and sisters, Francis Elizabeth Singleton and Mildred Ann Gross.
Gary was a man of Christian faith and a proud graduate of Wartrace High School, where he enjoyed playing on the basketball team. A dedicated and hardworking individual, he was employed over the years at Gallagher Guitar Company, Calsonic, and General Mills.
In his free time, Gary found joy in collecting coins, relaxing in his garage, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Tennessee Titans. Gary leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion and cherished memories.
He is survived by his two daughters, Christy Threatt and Kemyatta Means; six grandchildren, Micah Threatt, Terrence Threatt, Yasmine Pullen, Zacara Pullen, Dameka Turner, and A. Timothy Pullen; brothers, Arthur Gross, Elder James Gross, and Morganthou Gross; sister, Joyce Gross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 27, 2025. from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Bird Street Church of Christ with funeral Services following at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Anthony Booker, officiating and Bishop John Batts, eulogist.
