Gloria McLean Redden, 84, passed away on March 19, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Gloria spent most of her adult life in Versailles, Kentucky, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others. She shared 64+ years of marriage with her beloved husband, James Philip Redden, until his passing in September 2025.
Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was evident in all she did. She is survived by her two sons, Jim Redden (Julie) and Joe Redden (Nina); her five grandchildren, Ben Redden (Mollie), Zach Redden (Michaela), Morgan Redden, Max Redden, and Adam Redden; and her two great-grandchildren, Osborne Redden and Reid Redden. She is also survived by a sister, Carol Crouse.
She was deeply dedicated not only to her family, but also to her community. Gloria was actively involved with Gardenside Christian Church, local schools, helping underprivileged children (esp. at Christmas), and many community service efforts. She gave generously of her time and energy, and she touched many lives through her kindness, faith, and steady presence.
Gloria also found great joy in life’s simple pleasures and friendships. She loved bowling, tennis, and playing bridge, and she brought warmth, grace, and a sense of fun wherever she went.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to others, and the lasting impact she made on her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
