James "Jimmy" Edward Williams, 77, of Murfreesboro, Tn., died July 4, 2026. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
He was born September 16, 1948, in Tullahoma, Tn., to his parents, the late Earl Williams and Dessie Dean Qualls Williams. He was preceded in death also by two sisters, Janice Elaine Baldwin and Sherry Ellene Gernat.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Simpson Williams; two sons, Matthew Edward Williams of Mt. Juliet, Tn., and Mark Patrick Williams (Stephnie) of Murfreesboro; a sister,
Patsy Faye Lund (Larry) of Tullahoma; 4 grandchildren, Kellar Williams, Neely Williams, Breck Williams and Kylie Williams.
He was a teacher/coach and administrator in the Bedford County School System; a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Smyrna; a member of the Knights of Columbus and Director of Transportation for Bedford County.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a mentor to many young people.
