Kaaren Marie Froberg Saylor of Shelbyville, TN., passed away on November 7, 2025, in Shelbyville. Kaaren was born in Bellingham, Washington in 1942 and grew up in Whatcom County area. Kaaren also lived in Maine, Montana and Colorado before
settling in Middle Tennessee in 1977. Kaaren is a graduate of Meridian High School in Laurel, Washington, Steed College in Johnson City, TN. and from Middle Tennessee State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Henry and Hellen Marie Froberg and her life partner of twenty-five years, Ronnie "Hal" Pruett. She is survived by four sons, Jeff Hilton (Sharon) of Sharpsburg, GA., Roy Saylor (Beverly) of Wartrace, TN.,
James Saylor (Lesa) of Jackson, TN., Travis Saylor (Marimir) of
Naples, Italy. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry Foster of
Bellingham, WA., seven grandchildren, Britney Saylor of Portsmouth,
Maine, Kelsey Saylor of Chattanooga, TN., Kaitlin Marcom (Jeremy)
of Tullahoma, TN., Kyle Saylor (Samantha) of Knoxville, TN.,
Clair Hilton of Sharpsburg, GA., Alayne Bravo (Kevin) of Murfreesboro,
TN., and Menley Williams (Alex) of Murfreesboro, TN., and seven
great grandchildren, Jordan, Mackenzie, Hunter, Theodoro, Evelyn,
Suzanna and Nash.
Kaaren was a lifelong artist and lover of crafts. She at times in life enjoyed quilting, painting, sketching and many other crafts.
She and her partner Hal were enthusiastic Genealogy researchers, tracing her family, his family and others back several hundred years, proving/earning "First Families of Tennessee" certification for her sons, James and Travis through the Saylor and Little lineage. She loved reading, road trips, birds and nature.
Rather than attempting a memorial service at this time, a "get together" of family and friends will be planned at a later date.
