Mary Dean May, 84, of Shelbyville, died March 15, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 19th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Charles Ollie McCutcheon and Hattie Mae Williams McCutcheon; her husband, Bill May; daughters, Melissa Smartt and Angie Griffy; sisters, Willie Sue Williams, Sandra Ann Malone and brother, Richard Eugene McCutcheon.
Mary Dean is survived by her son, William D. Hale (Carol) of Chapel Hill; brother, Jimmy McCutcheon (Helen) of Woodbury; sisters, Dot Denney of Portland, Brenda Crossland (Darrel) and Linda Adams (Johnny) of Smyrna; grandchildren, Daniel Smartt (Amy), Andrew Smartt, Brittany Epperson (Justin), Mary Wrzesniewski; great-grandchildren, Harley Neeley, Mabel Wrzesniewski; Loved Fur Baby Lylee and several nieces and nephews.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
