MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —Louisiana Tech (23-12, 8-2 CUSA) scored seven runs in the ninth inning to win 10-8 over Middle Tennessee (15-20, 2-9 CUSA). Louisiana Tech starter Brooks Roberson didn't surrender a run until Brett Vondohlen hit his 14th home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 3-1 ball game. Prior to the last pitch he threw before exiting, Roberson had allowed just one run on five hits.
In his third at-bat of the day, Middle Tennessee first baseman Hayden Miller drilled a line-drive, three-run shot over the wall in left field to give the Blue Raiders a 4-3 lead with two out in the seventh. Middle Tennessee would add another four in the eighth to go up 8-3.
Aside from a three-run second inning for the Bulldogs, Blue Raider starter Drew Horn settled in as the game wore on, finishing with 7.0 innings pitched and he retired nine of the last 10 batters he faced.
At the dish for Middle Tennessee, Clay Badylak, Brett Vondohlen and Matt Wolfe all finished with two hits and at least one RBI and one run. Miller finished with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored.
In the bottom of the eighth, hits by Brett Rogers, Wolfe and Badylak helped Middle Tennessee to plate four in the frame, all with two outs.
All seven runs scored by the Bulldogs in the ninth inning were unearned.

The Skipper Speaks (Jerry Meyers)
"We had some misfortune and a made a few mistakes and things just snowballed on us and they were able to get a lot of momentum," said Middle Tennessee Head Coach Jerry Meyers. "(Defensively) it was a combination of some bad breaks and just wanting it so bad that sometimes, you get outside yourself and make mistakes. We need to come back tomorrow and salvage a game. We have to fight and grind things out and play the game the right way."
