The Middle Tennessee men's basketball program had two student-athletes voted to the Preseason All-Conference team, as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon. The Blue Raiders were also tabbed to finish fourth in the conference, earning one first place tally in the vote.
 
Guards Camryn Weston and Jestin Porter were selected to the preseason team, the second-consecutive year MT has had two selections to the team.
 
This marks Weston's second-straight year being voted preseason all-conference. The redshirt senior was voted to the team last year, but suffered a season-ending injury just two games in. In his two full seasons, he was MTSU's assists leader and was the team's leading scorer among returners in the 2023-24 season. The Albany, Ga., native was Honorable Mention All-CUSA his junior year while averaging 10.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
 
Jestin Porter, who was also named to Blue Ribbon Yearbook's Preseason All-CUSA team in September, earns his first CUSA Preseason pick with his nod. During the 2023-24 season, he was named to the Second Team All-CUSA, All-CUSA Tournament Team and NABC Second Team All-District. He averaged a team-high 13.9 points and led the team with 32 steals. He took over the point guard role after Weston went down and has repeatedly expressed how that experience has grown his basketball knowledge and game.
 
Middle Tennessee opens the 2024-25 season at home, with a midday matchup against Oglethorpe Nov. 4. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. in the Glass House.
