Patricia Thompson Farrar passed from this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
She was born, May 9, 1969, to Patricia “Pat” Ann Carr Thompson and the late Richard Warren Thompson. In addition to her father, she was proceeded in death by her brother, Robbie Thompson; step-brothers, Robert, Ricky, and Ronnie Thompson; step-sister, Leslie Thompson and her grandmother, Anna J. Carr.
Patricia was born in Miami Florida and later would graduate class of 1987, from Community High School in Bedford County. She went on to attend Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. She worked mainly as a bookkeeper alongside her husband “Blue” in their family businesses for the past 34 years.
Patricia was a dedicated mother, a free spirit and a world traveler. She was described as the glue of the family and also for the family business. In her free time, she loved spending time at Tim’s Ford Lake with her family and friends, loved preparing delicious meals for her family, and attended every event for her children.
Along with her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James “Blue” Farrar, Jr.; her children: Blue Jay Farrar and Brooke Anne Farrar (Cason Warner); step granddaughter, June Marie Warner; sister, Tanya Thompson of Shelbyville; father-in-law, James Farrar, Sr.; mother-in-law, Felicia Greene Farrar; brothers-in-law, Lawson Farrar, Mason Reinhardt and
Michael Farrar; sisters-in-law, Christina Tucker, Sandra “Cricket” Taylor, Amanda Farrar and Tamera Whitley, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church, 600 N. Brittian Street in Shelbyville, at 4 p.m., with Brother Jimmy Gray officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service, beginning at 1 p.m., at the church.
