Patsy Morton Throneberry, 87, of Wartrace, died January 8, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Don Gallagher and Jim Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Patsy was born November 5, 1938, in Wartrace, TN., and spent the majority of her life as a Wartrace resident. She graduated from Wartrace high School in 1956, where she exceled academically and was a member of the girl's basketball team.
She married her high school sweetheart, Guy Elam Throneberry, in 1957, and they shared 36 years together before his death in 1993.
She spent 39+ years working for the State Farm South Central Office in Murfreesboro. She was a member of Wartrace Church of Christ, and served as an alderwoman for the town of Wartrace.
After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with friends and family along with loving and supporting her grandchildren in their activities. She had a generous nature and a servant attitude always willing to help others. She spent the last few years enjoying the family and community of Celebration Way Assisted Living.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Curtis and Gracie Frances Word Morton; siblings, Robert (Bobby) Morton, Frances Walker, Margaret Nowlin, Betty Porterfield and Wayne Morton.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Laura (Jim) Pruitt, grandchildren, Nicholas (Shelby) Pruitt, Jacob (Kristen) Pruitt; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Madison, Grayson and Teddy Pruitt; sisters, Nancy Lovvorn, Wanda (Jim) Csuy, and several nieces and nephews.
