Ruth Jennings Haynes, 94, of Lynchburg, died September 21, 2024. Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 24th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Pastor Shebbie Shields officiated. Burial followed at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation began at 12:00 P.M.
She was born April 3, 1930, in Bedford County; retired employee of National Pen & Pencil Company and a member of Wesley Heights Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie Waters; grandson, Christopher Waters of Lynchburg; a special nephew, Jerry Jennings (Carol) and several other nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul Jennings and Exie Brown King Jennings; her husband, Walter Leonard Haynes; brothers, John Paul Jennings Jr., Hayes Jennings, Odus Jennings, Edd Jennings and Jim Jennings.
