It was a strong showing for the Shelbyville Central tennis teams on Tuesday afternoon, claiming a pair of wins against visiting Franklin County.
The Eagles took the 5-2 team victory, while the Eaglettes claimed a 7-0 sweep.
In singles, Justin Spence took an 8-3 victory, while Zacari Draine and Hoyt Wessner each won an 8-4 decision.
Addison Wilson claimed an 8-2 win at the No. 4 spot, while No. 1 Jackson Benson fought, but came up on the short end of a 9-7 decision.
The Eagles split doubles matches, with Wessner and Drain claiming an 8-5 No. 2 victory, while Benson and Spence came up short in an 8-6 final score.
For the Eaglettes, it was nothing short of a dominating performance against the Rebellettes.
In singles, Ainsley Noel, Vivian Fernandez and Rachel Phillips all posted 8-0 victories, while Caitlyn Burdick took an 8-4 win.
No. 4 Emma Habel also was dominant in an 8-1 decision.
Noel and Burdick powered their way to a doubles victory in an 8-3 final score at the No. 1 spot, while Fernandez and Habel took an 8-0 win at the No. 2 spot.
Both teams will be back in action on Monday afternoon at H.V. Griffin park at 4 p.m. as Shelbyville hosts Lawrence County.
