Sherman E. Harden, 84, of Shelbyville died July 13, 2023. Funeral Services were held 2 p.m. Monday, July 17, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Jon Amspaugh officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will begin at 12 p.m.
He was a native of Bedford County; a retired employee of Eaton Corporation; Veteran of the U.S. Army; member of First Church of the Nazarene; former member of the V.F.W. and a member of Bedford County Senior Citizens.  He was a lover of music, golf, gardening and traveling with the Senior Citizens Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Harden; brothers, James, George and Earl Harden; sisters, Elizabeth Thomason, Clara Mantonona; half sister, Jean Durham; step-sisters, Louise Smith, Barbara Angus and Clara Mae Brown.
Sherman is survived by his children, Sharon Wallace of Lewisburg. Sherman Dennis (Lori) Harden of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Brandon Harden, Jennifer Wallace, Chris (Krissy) Harden; great-grandchildren, Leah Harris, Kristin Harris, Autumn Neece, Justin Harden, Austin Dent and his caregiver, Sandy Conn.
