Tamara Elaine Ballard, “Miss. Tammy,” age 64 of Unionville, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Ascension St. Thomas Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born June 17, 1961; daughter of the late Zona Faye Chambers and Harold Lee Burchfield, “Cotton.”
Preceded in death by her parents, Zona Faye Chambers of Unionville, Tennessee, formally from Oneida, Tennessee, and Harold Lee Burchfield, “Cotton,” of Marion, Illinois, formally from Oneida, Tennessee, one brother, Frank “Frankie” Knight Baker, and one sister, Robbin Nell Morgan.
She is survived by her husband, Ollie “Sonny” Hill Ballard III of Unionville,
Tennessee. She also leaves two sons, Jeremy Lee Prewitt and partner Jake Stover of Bethany, Oklahoma, formerly of Unionville, Tennessee; and Ollie “Tige” Hill Ballard IV and wife Melanie of Brush Creek, Tennessee; one sister, Schenna Boller and husband Steve of West Chester, Ohio; one grandson, Lance Ballard of Brush Creek, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew.
Miss. Tammy touched many lives while she was driving her bus route for Bedford County Board of Education for over 20 years.
Funeral Services will take place 1:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2025, with visitation being held 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
