TRAGIC ACCIDENT AT WARTRACE RAILROAD

A preliminary Tennessee Highway Patrol report shows that an 84-year-old man was killed at 11:25 p.m. Sunday in Wartrace after being hit by a train.
The report shows that a minivan was traveling on Main Street East. The vehicle made a left turn onto Blackman Boulevard West while the crossing arms on the railroad tracks were down and activated, according to THP. The vehicle was struck by a CSX train.
