Barbara Jean Enochs Farrar, of Tullahoma, passed away on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, at Highpoint Health-Winchester at the age of 88. Mrs. Farrar was born in Shelbyville to the late David Reagor Enochs and Jean Reagor Enochs. During her life she worked as the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Jimmy Farrar Flowers and Gifts, and was an avid and dedicated Vanderbilt sports fan.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James “Jimmy” Farrar. She is survived by three daughters, Jean Marie (Joe) Ford, Ginny (Pat) Pack and Elizabeth (Dan) Szalkowski; 7 grandchildren, J. (Ashley) Ford, David (Sara) Ford, Dr. Farrar Jean Ford (Sam Scurlock), Brittany (Philip) Mook, Will (Julie) Pack, Kristen (Josh) Chan, and Jackson Szalkowski; 9 great-grandchildren, Clark and Owen Ford, Atticus, Teagan, and McKenna Scurlock, Kennedy and Henry Mook, and Wilson and June Pack; and one sister, Gloria (Ted) LaRoche.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at Kilgore Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Ashley LaRoche Heeren officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
