Jerry R. Marlow, age 75, of Lynwood, IL., was enjoying a fun-filled weekend alongside his "in-laws" and loving life-partner of 37 years, Carolyn Grabowski, when he unexpectedly passed away on July 19th.
Jerry was born in Tullahoma, TN. His parents subsequently moved back to the Calumet Area, but Jerry was always rooted in TN., where he routinely visited and re-united with his cherished family.
Jerry was a graduate of Thornton Fractional North High School, Class of 1968. Many friendships were made and continued beyond Jerry's years of employment with J.J. Wright Oldsmobile and Bauer Buick. Jerry retired from LKQ Corporation. Though Jerry never worked professionally as a mechanic, he could explain how to fix just about anything related to automobiles. And, if you were in need of a vehicle, Jerry was already searching for the best available and had, most likely, found you the perfect one, long before you even had to ask him for his help.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Myrtle (Arnold) Marlow, and brother, Dennis Marlow, Jr. Jerry is also survived by numerous cousins, and many lifelong friends.
Those who knew and loved Jerry are invited to share their love and memories Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at the Plum Creek Center, located at 2138 Moeller St., Dyer, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite organization.
