Vavial Carolyn Keele Jamison, 85, of Shelbyville, died June 27, 2026. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3rd, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Korley Carson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Vavial was born July 12, 1940 in Old Hickory, Tennessee to her parents, Leighton Allen Keele and Myrtle Redus Martin.
She was a member of the 1958 Graduating Class from Shelbyville Central High School; a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville; member of several social/community groups focused on helping others.
She loved the Lord, travel, time with friends and family, photography and a big love for animals. She retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company as a Chief Operator. Post retirement she received a degree from Motlow College.
In addition to her parents, Vavial was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Jamison. She is survived by her son, Jon Allen Gregory and his fiancé Catherine Carroll.
She will be remembered for her loving spirit and sense of adventure, her treasured friendships and her generosity towards others in their time of need.
