Wheel accident claims life

The Bedford County Fire Department and EMS responded to the west side of Bedford County Monday afternoon.  

The accident took place on Whitaker Road in the area of Montgomery Road near Wheel. 
 
Bedford County 911 took several calls of a Ford Ranger on fire with possible entrapment. Units arriving on scene located two vehicles with one overturned and on fire. 
 
Crews have confirmed one person in the accident has succumbed to their injuries.  No further details have been made available.
 
THP advises to avoid the area while they conduct their investigation and make notification to next of kin.
