William (Bill) Tocchio, 88, of Shelbyville died early Friday morning, January 15, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021, at Wheel Cemetery with Reverend Jon Bell officiating.

Doak-Howell Funeral Home is serving the family.

William 'Bill' Tocchio

William (Bill) Tocchio, 88, of Shelbyville, TN, passed from this life early Friday morning, January 15, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by: parents, Mario Tocchio and Ella Kyller Tocchio; son, William Greg Tocchio; brothers, Paul Tocchio and David Tocchio; sisters, Dorris Tocchio and Joan Tocchio.

Born December 3, 1932, in Quincy, Massachusetts, he graduated from Quincy High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 22 years as a Tech Sergeant; he also met his wife Nancy while stationed at Sewart Air Force Base in Smyrna, TN. Later in life he retired from American Can in Shelbyville, TN. His hobbies were enjoying old cars, football, baseball and racing.

He is survived by: loving wife, Nancy Harris Tocchio of Shelbyville; daughters, Susan (Chris) Tolar of Wartrace and Carol Tocchio Newman of Shelbyville; son, Chris (Kristy) Tocchio of Lewisburg; daughter-in-law, Leigh Smith Tocchio; grandchildren, Josh (Mary Alice) Tolar, Tara Head Driver (Chad), Mary Lynn Tocchio, Madeline Tocchio and Andrew Tocchio; great-grandchildren, Jade Tolar, Caroline Driver and Lilli Cate Driver.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021, at Wheel Cemetery with Reverend Jon Bell officiating.

Memorial donations can be made out to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to Tunnel to Towers www.tunnel2towers.org.
