William Ray Gage, 80, of Wartrace, died March 27, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 4th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., prior to service.
He was born August 21, 1945, in Bedford County, TN.; a retired teacher and basketball coach in Sumner County, TN.; a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Wartrace Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clarence Gage, Virginia Elaine Christian Murchison and step-fathers, W.A. Hoyle and Bill Murchison.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ann Phillips Gage of Wartrace; his children, David Gage of Manchester, Tn., Amanda Hartle (Danny), Laura Hobdy (Scott) of Gallatin, TN., Monica Petty of Hendersonville, TN.; and seven grandchildren.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
