Manchester, Tenn. — The Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes (11-8, 3-3) fell on the road against unbeaten District 9-AAAA foe and #2 ranked team in the state, the Coffee County Lady Raiders (24-0, 6-0), 83-30.

Manchester, Tenn. — The Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes (11-8, 3-3) fell on the road against unbeaten District 9-AAAA foe and #2 ranked team in the state, the Coffee County Lady Raiders (24-0, 6-0), 83-30.
Channah Gannon led all scorers with 17 points for Coffee County with 14 coming in the first half. Jules Ferrell, Natalie Burns, and Ella Arnold all scored in double-figures for the Lady Raiders with 15 points, 14 points, and 11 points, respectively.
For Shelbyville, Jada Berry was the only Eaglette to reach double-digit scoring with 11 points. Lanaya Young, who scored her 1,000th point during a 31-point game at Columbia Central, was held to just six points and two made field goals all night.
To start, Coffee County jumped out to a 24-6 lead at the end of the opening period. Barnes scored 12 of her 14 points in the first quarter, including a pair of three-pointers. Ferrell put in nine of her 15 points in the first quarter as well as the Raiders held the Eaglettes to just two made field goals.
In the second quarter, Shelbyville continued to struggle against the hosts’ defense, just scoring five points. Meanwhile, Gannon took over for Coffee County, scoring 11 of her 17 points in the period as the Raiders outscored the Eaglettes, 23-5, to take a 47-11 lead at halftime.
Coming out of the halftime locker room Jada Berry led Shelbyville with seven of her 11 points in the third quarter. However, Coffee County kept rolling offensively, outscoring Shelbyville by 10, 20-10, to enter the final frame with a commanding 67-21 lead.
In the fourth quarter, seven different Raiders got on the scoresheet while the Eaglettes continued to struggle on the offensive end, getting outscored by seven, 16-9, in the period to reach the final score of 83-30.
Coffee County stays unbeaten and improves to 24-0 (6-0).
Shelbyville falls to 11-8 (3-3) but returns home to take on Warren County on Tuesday, LIVE on WLIJ 98.7 and AM 1580 starting at 5:45 p.m.
