SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles (10-0, 7-0) and Eaglettes (5-5, 5-2) returned from Spring Break with a clean sweep of District 6-AA foe Coffee County, 9-0 and 9-0, on Tuesday.
In the girls’ doubles, Lilly Smith and Lydia Yoes got by Isabelle Saner and Kati McInturff, 8-3, on Court One while Evony Smith and Jackie Juarez beat Carringston Saner and Illy Allen, 8-3, on Court Two.
In the singles matches, Lilly Smith took down Isabelle Sander, 8-3, on Court One, Yoes outlasted McInturff, 9-7, on Court Two, and Evony Smith prevailed over Carringston Saner, 8-5, on Court Three. On Court Four, Juarez took down Allen, 8-4, and Georgia Frazier beat Janna Anderson, 8-2, on Court Five.
In the boys’ doubles, Henry Stone and Tucker Johnson made quick work of Colin Bryant and Ethan Hayes, 8-0, on Court One. Coffee County forfeited the other match.
In the singles matches, Stone took down Bryant, 8-1, on Court One, Tucker Johnson outlasted Ethan Hayes, 8-4, on Court Two, and Tanner Johnson prevailed over Aiden Hayes, 9-7, on Court Three. The Red Raiders forfeited the other matches.
Shelbyville Central takes on district foe Tullahoma on Thursday.
