Betty Sue Delk, 81, formerly of Bell Buckle died February 10, 2024 at the Poplar Estates Retirement Center in Columbia, TN. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17th, at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. She was the daughter of the late Edward Patterson Delk and Susie Elizabeth Reed Delk. Betty Sue worked for the State of Tennessee for 35 years. She was a fan of Nascar racing and loved listening to Conway Twitty. Betty Sue cared for animals deeply, giving to non-profits to help in any way she could. more

Nancy Louise George, 81, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Thursday, February 8, 2024, at NHC of Tullahoma after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Bedford County, Mrs. George was born on September 27, 1942, to the late Albert Guy Prince and Frances Bomar Prince. She was married to the late W.H. “Pete” George for 55 years. Mrs. George served as a supervisor at Economy Pen & Pencil for 30+ years until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with family and friends, and attending street rod shows. Mrs. George was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Hicks and Elaine Cartwright. In addition, her niece, Shelli Pigg Hambrick; brother-in-law, Shirley Joe Groce; and sister-in-law, Linda Lucille Rodgers also preceded her in death. Survivors include 2 sisters, Kathryn Pigg (Jerry), and Christine Groce; brother-in-law, Joe Ben Cartwright; sister-in-law Dianna Winfrey (Morris). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Willow Mount Cemetery with Reverend Ron Dewitt officiating. Cadance Ezland Barb, 21, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Sunday, February 4, 2024. Born December 16, 2002, in Shelbyville, TN, Cadance was the daughter of Darren Barb and Alexis Mears Hatfield. She attended Community High School. She was a wonderful artist that used various forms of painting and sketching to express her art, as well as designing her own tattoos. Along with her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Annalise Barb; brother, Devan Barb; grandparents, Orvena Farley and Buck Barb; nephew, Oliver Barb; and step-father, Dusty Hatfield. She was preceded in death by: grandparents, Sherry Randles and James Mears. Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, in the chapel of Doak Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Rob McKamey Officiating. Burial followed at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, prior to funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Doak-Howell Funeral Home is serving the family. more

Lynnette Locke Noteboom, 56, of Bell Buckle, passed away January 27, 2024. Funeral services were 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. The family received visitors one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born August 10, 1967, in Bedford County, to the Sandra McMahon Locke and the late Leonard Locke, Sr. In addition to her mother, survivors include her children, LaTosha (Windzel) Crumbough, Trenton Locke, and Tyler (Brooklyn) Noteboom; brothers and sister, Leonard Locke, Jr., Earl Locke, and Sherissa Locke. more
